Things to do in Rottnest Island

We’re going to take the ferry over to Rottnest Island today.
It takes around 25 minutes to get to Rottnest Island from Freemantle Terminal. We recommend booking your ticket in advance during the high season as it can get quite busy. There’s plenty of things to do on the island. Here are the top things you must do.
You can bring your own bike on the ferry for an additional charge or you can hire bikes once you get there. There are many biking and walking trails to be enjoyed all over the island. Another option is taking the island, but it takes around an hour to do the full lap around the island and you can hop on and off as you please rotten. This island is filled with plenty of pristine beaches to explore. Check out the wind direction and pick a beach well-protected to have the best experience on this trip. We chose to swim and snorkel at the Basin is a great spot and only a short walk to the wharf.
They have been described as the world’s happiest and we understand why.
If you had to the West part of the island on Cathedral rocks, there’s a high chance encounter seals chilling on the Rocks. There’s a viewing platform for everyone to enjoy the scenery.
At the end of your day, you can have a drink or get some food while waiting for your fairy at the Thompson rockness.
